Od lipca minęło już sporo czasu, ale uczennica klasy VII Kinga Grabek nadal pamięta obóz językowy w Załęczu Wielkim, w którym miała możliwość uczestniczyć dzięki udziałowi w projekcie "WG broadens its horizons - In 10 months around the world" zrealizowanym w naszej szkole w roku szkolnym 2018/2019 w ramach Programu English Teaching.
Ale oddaję już głos samej Kindze, która tak wspomina swoją wakacyjną przygodę z językiem angielskim:
In this text I want to tell you something about my camp. I was there in this holiday. This camp just started in July and finished on 3 of August. The camp lasted 2 weeks. I think it was the best time on my holiday. I was going there for 3,5 hours! It’s so long!
The camp was held near Częstochowa in Załęcze Wielkie. The center where we lived was in the forest. We lived in 2 buildings. In hotel we had a shop, where we can bought candy, ice-cream or anything. In my room I had 3 girls, very funny and nice girls. I like them. But in my all group I had 9 boys and only 4 girls (including me).
Maybe now I tell you something what we did on the next days. In the morning we had the lessons with the American (yes, people who come there in USA, but we had only 2 teachers from UK). It was my best English lessons ever. In these lessons we played the games, played the guitar or drums, we drew and of course learned English! We have homeroom too! It consisted in the fact that in week 2 our classes changed so we have the homeroom when we came there for 10 minutes every day. The volunteers' names were Lisa and McKanzie, she was my favourite teacher. Every teacher was nice for us and they gave candies or their things for everybody (not for us, they chose, only sweets was for everybody). In my homeroom I made a song and overs exclamation –„CORGIE CORGIE CORGIE- FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT”. It was for McKenzie because she has a corgie 😉. She is from Texas and she took for us the jelly from her farm and peanut butter from state where Lisa come.
In evenings we had a disco or bonfire, and one time we played the bingo, and the person who win can chose the present. In the afternoons we had games. We had a water day when I was so wet and dirty! Sometimes we played the match or we played American sports, of course we played the very popular game on this camp – „Flags”. I like it but it was very different. On this camp I had the one sad and funniest story. When I was in a PE lessons we played rugby and I broke my nails hah. We had a Halloween, American and Polish day too <3
And I think I think that's enough in a nutshell. I hope the more people in our school go there because it’s worth it. When you go there and you come back you see a difference - your English is better. I think that's what I wanted to tell you and I hope I encouraged you to participate in language camps. When you want to know more, you can go to me and ask what you want.
